Current planning status

Dear parents,

The daycare center is preparing to regularly look after all the children in the daycare center again from Tuesday, June 2nd, 2020. Not all at once, but in an interchangeable model.

Children who are entitled to emergency care can also optionally be cared for half-day or full-day from Monday to Friday. Children who are not entitled to emergency care but who have the status “preschooler” or “regular child” have the opportunity to come to daycare on 2 fixed days per week and a fixed third day of the week every 14 days. We form 2 additional cohorts for each group.

Here is an overview from June 2nd, 2020:

The cohort groups can then be supervised either up to 12 p.m. or 3 p.m. We have tried to consider many factors and to make many things possible. Also to include the important pedagogical aspects.

  • Lee 1 consists of a basic group with children from emergency care + a cohort raccoons 1 and a cohort raccoons 2
  • Lee 2 consists of a basic group with children from emergency care + a cohort foxes 1 and a cohort foxes 2
  • Luv consists of a basic group with children from emergency care + a cohort of whales and a cohort of dolphins.

Don’t take it badly if we don’t have the best solution for every family. It is a middle ground and the greatest possible overlap that is possible for us at this point in time. Once it’s up and running, we can build on it. Is this okay?

We are pleased that soon all children will be able to go to daycare again, that the children will see their daycare friends again, that parents are happy about how happy their children are and hope that we can support them for days, family and work together to agree!

We would like to call all families who have not yet returned to daycare within the next 1-2 days to give you specific information for your family.

I’m looking forward to the talk with you,

Kind regards,

Meike Mangelsen, Kita Luv & Lee May 25, 2020
