New regulations for the use of emergency care from Monday, April 20th, 2020

Dear daycare parents,

During the time of the coronavirus pandemic, entry into daycare centers is prohibited (see decree of the state and general decree of the LH Kiel). This does not apply to parents and children who are entitled to emergency care and employees (m / f / d) who work in the emergency care of the respective day care center. The requirements for the use of emergency care have so far been formulated as follows:

Option I: Mom and Dad both work in a critical infrastructure area. Or the single parent (m / f / d) works in an area of critical infrastructures. In both cases, there is no alternative care option for the child

Option II: One parent (m / f / d) works in a medical or nursing field. This also includes working in a pharmacy. There is no alternative care option for the child.

What will change from Monday, April 20, 2020? What’s new?

Innovations: Option I changes. It is sufficient for mom or dad to work in one area of critical infrastructures. And working single parents are generally entitled, regardless of the field in which they work! Furthermore, care should only be used if no other care options are available.

As a daycare center, we therefore expect an increasing number of care needs from Monday, April 20, 2020. In order to be able to reliably implement this requirement in terms of personnel and space from today, the daycare center has already published this advance information. Public announcements will be made during the day today:
